Aldi Must Tries

shopping, business, retail

Guys! Have you been to Aldi? If you have you know but if you haven’t what are you waiting for? I love that store!

They have great quality items for less than what some of the bigger guys do. The magical place we now know was started in Germany around the 1900s by Albrecht Diskont. His sons took over the store after World War 2. They split the biz in two so they could better get along as brothers. (Because working with family is hard!) The brothers kept a similar feel to their individual stores. One brother brought over Aldi to the states in the 70s and the other one eventually started Trader Joes. So good stores must run in that family’s blood. Click here to read the full story and where I got this short description from. Aldi has some really wonderful and fun products.

Here are some of my favorites that you should pick up next time you go!

  • Freeze dried strawberries- all of the freeze dried fruits are great but the strawberry is the best!
  • Salt and Pepper cashews- I could eat the whole bag.
  • All the cheeses!- I am a cheese girl! It is my favorite food, no way I could ever give it up, guilty pleasure. They have an awesome selection at a reasonable cost.
  • Salted chocolate covered caramels- So dreamy and addicting!
  • Coconut crisp cookies- They are great with a cup of tea and satisfy that darn sweet tooth.
  • Meats-They have a good selection of fresh meats that are worth a try.
  • Salad kits- I like to take these to work and at Aldi they are way less expensive.
  • Dried fruits- Cherries are the best!
  • Leelanau Cellars Great Lakes Red Table Wine- so good and I love it so much it made into my about me page! Click here to read more about me.

Let me know which ones you try! Do you have any favorites or must buys I missed?

XOXO,
